i was old, like... twelve and someone made fun of my purple kitten jogging suit and old person dollar store shoes. i got mad, i knew damn well my mama was proud of those shoes. I thought i was poor then, but the following year i transferred to a private school, which taught me how poor I really was. no regrets.

I’m def one of the people who will be working, I just started a new low-wage job. I plan on participating by removing myself from the economy, no gas, no snacks, no lunch out etc. I really hope this is an impressive strike!

I think the above commentator was just referencing how smoking gives you something to do with your hands and then your mouth. One of my smoker friends is conditioned so every time she sits outside she smokes a cigarette, while rolling the next one. It’s an activity, and a habit.
