Having just shopped through the Ducati parts catalog for replacement parts for my other-end-of-the-spectrum Monster 695, I am not surprised.

@geistkoenig: VW has a similar problem with their HPFP on their diesel 4 cylinder engines. Mine failed at 18k miles. They fixed mine without complaint, but they did have my diesel fuel tested for contamination before they took care of it. The NHTSA is investigating this issue.

I'm sure the successful middle-aged dentists will appreciate all of the time and money GM has spent on testing. Those 6 mile roundtrip commutes to the office can be HELL on performance cars.
