Yeah, unfortunately a turbocharged 4 will never sound like a naturally aspirated flat 6. My comment really has nothing to do with the Boxster, only car noises in general. Family friend owns a 981 so I’m pretty well versed in how they sound.

As the owner of a 2015 C7 I can tell you that half the fun of driving the car is hearing the noises it makes in sport and track mode. It snorts and spits and backfires into 2nd and 3rd. It really adds to the enjoyment of driving the car. The noise a car makes is a huge deal.

the worst offender is moonshiners. Actually I take that back it’s the goldrush one where they went to another country can’t remember which country though.
