It sold fast, slept on it, decided to pursue it and it was already gone. Just means I have more time to save for a 997. I’m already 40 so can’t wait too long or I’ll have to get a Corvette, the default old guy car.

I completely understand, which is why i said we’d see harder racing in the stages for the bonus points (should have said segments, yes) End result meaning number of cautions as referenced in the post I was replying too. I can see the confusion you had as my multiple trains of thought kind of ran together. They’re

And that is not on a drag strip, no way you could do that at the track, there isn’t the room. They are on wide open road.

he added that link well after

I think you’re right. We might notice people racing harder in the early stages of a race to try and get those bonus points but I think the end result will be not much difference.

At the end of the run you are hard on the brakes, the mechanical brakes, there is no opportunity for any meaningful regen in drag racing. you can try to backtrack all you want but you replied to me with some complete nonsense so you opened yourself up to be corrected.

You don’t regen on your way down, you are accelerating the entire way. I’m not sure you know how drag racing or electricity works.

It’s not a bicycle, no hub motors.

I wonder how many Pulls you can get out of a Tesla? Just race the guy 5 or 6 times until his battery dies. You use a ton of juice at max power.

I’m literally thinking the same thing. I need to go take a cold shower or something I’ve clearly lost my mind.

Wait a minute this actually sounds like it might not be a bad idea. I’ve clearly lost my mind but 911 Turbo, I have 20 grand right here with nothing else to do with it. Would I, could I? I wouldn’t, no, but maybe..... Somebody smack some sense into me quick. I don’t think I could do it but I really want someone to.

I hope this comment gets the appreciation it deserves.

You know it wasn’t that long ago that you pretty much needed a dedicated back halved drag car for 10.3 second quarter miles. That is blazing fast. insanity.

I’m on the fence here. If the frame is solid enough to give me a few years of use before the truck folds like a wet noodle then I think it’s money well spent. Not a restoration candidate at all but might be fun. Would be a no brainer at 2k. I’m gonna go with a cautious NP on this one pending frame inspection and solid

Well, According to math and science stuff 1 in 4 women and 1 in 5 men have rust. 85% of them have no clue that they are rusting.

Yes it’s a 1998 NBC promo shot for the series Jesse. I have a bit of a crush. (yes I had to look up the year cut me some freaking slack)

Jimbob Timmytom Perkins is only charging me 500 bucks to ship my Ferrari from Maine to California in a 1973 ex-Uhaul box truck with 3 million miles, what a bargian. I mean really what could possibly go wrong.
