What happened was the Germans caught up to them, and surpassed them in many ways. The other issue is they just shifted focus, from something sport to bloated barges they sell today.

I've been at their shop a few times starting about 4 years ago. Where were you?
When I'm driving fast if it felt someone touch me if push them off too. Don't want to get tangled.
You still need winter tires, even with AWD. Common misconception.
HELL YES. I have said for a long time that musclecar isn’t V8/RWD, it was smaller car, potent engine and the best drivetrain tech available. If the engineers at the big three had access to AWD and turbos back in the 60s, THEY WOULD HAVE USED THEM.
Both are rare compared to other areas. In colorado almost every road wear of center is amazing, and the girls are fittttt
I don't know how people afford to live there.
Yup.
I live in Wisco. The women are mostly fat and the roads are boring. I hate it.
10lbs of crap in a 5lb bag.
Maybe you should let someone drive who grew up around cars, not someone who lives in NYC and had no driving experience until 2 years ago.
Yup. If it had 22s in back with bigger wheel openings, it would probably look great.
That’s because you’re right. The styling on the wheels looks liek something American Racing would have produced in the mid 90s.
Like the 71 Chevelle. Front = great. Middle = decent. Back end... just..melted whatever it’s friday let’s get drunk who cares.
Italdesign.
The size of it was what really surprised me as well. It’s smaller than a miata in height and length, or so it seems, but definitely wide.
The problem is it should have been a direct corvette competitor. It never was. It was always more expensive, more exclusive and when you have that kind of coin, you can get into supercar territory with ferraris and whatnot.
As a kid we’d go up to Canada in one, and my step brother and I would eat food and sleep and watch movies in the back. So rad. Would love to pick one up someday.... acutally... these things can tow pretty decently too. Hrm. If they can plow, I’m totally game.
LOL. I love that photo, it captures exactly why I will never own a newer Audi (but also why I love my 95 UrS6 Avant), but to be fair this is a totally different V8, way earlier, and it lacks all the goofy timing chain tensioners made out of plastic.
I'm n industrial designer. I agree with you. Too much stuff is over styled and vulgar now, it won't age well. 90s stuff will because there was still some restraint and subtlety.
