Idk, in my experience so far they’re pretty reliable. New top: $600, floormats: $50, Bodywork on fender + headlight trim ring: $450, Smile:$150. It really doesn’t need that much to be ‘decent’. The problem with midyears is that ACTUALLY restoring them is a bad move, financially. So you just need to make them ‘close

No, the actual main reason is Chrysler products have a resale curve similar to an anvil with rocket thrusters propelling it downward. Even if a Renegade was the coolest thing I’ve ever seen, I’d wait 3-5 years and pick one up for HALF PRICE.

Here’s to hoping the dynamic Three-O sign a deal with Netflix.

So you converted one?

Then I guess you should buy an iPhone. I’m still using my 4S. It came out in October of 2011. It still works great.

How old is it?

The C5 looks like a C4 that was stuck in a microwave. I think the C5 is the ugliest corvette.

Your opinion. I think the later C4s look better than most melted blob C5s.

I think the C4 looks cool, but I like 80s stuff.

No, it’s an air-cooled engine. Air cooled engines have way more mating surfaces, and way more places to leak. This would also be true for Corvairs (GM), Beetles (VW) and Harleys (Merica) and tons of other motorcycles.

Yup. Later ones used an actual oil cooler instead of the trombone. My 77 has the trombone. The oil lines are MAYBE 1/2” each. The trombone is 14-18” long. There is no way you are cooling a water cooled engine with 1/2 lines and a tiny radiator that small. You are dreaming.

I think I could save it. New top. Recover the seats. Find black floor mats. Fix fender. Install smile. Lower it. Paint Fuchs black? Would be a nice driver and once all shiny someone would pay 20k for it.

I have a targa. Once I'm in the drivers seat I can say is never want a coupe.

Webers and carbs at 17hp AT BEST, with drastically reduced MPG. Not really worth it, especially since they cost like $3500-5000. Upgraded ignition? Why? Nothing wrong with the stock system. Carrera tensioners? I have them already. They don’t add power. Cams? I guess. Seems stupid if you can’t afford all the other race

I’m all for building whatever you want, but I don’t see the point of watercooling an aircooled chassis. It wasn’t designed to accomodate any of that. Just build a 240 or something set up for it. Or go weird, and do a Citreon DS.

The problem is hot rod 3.2 motors aren’t 3-5k anymore. Used 3.2s trade for upwards of 10k now. This is why I haven’t swapped one in my targa yet.

Your MR2 has about 1/8 the # of main engine seals. Porsches are flat six engines. There is no block, there are two halves of a case. One main seal in the middle. Since it’s air cooled, the piston jugs are finned, and each one mounts seperately, so that’s 12 more mating/gasket surfaces that can leak. Now you have oil

Stupid. The cars were designed to be air cooled. Putting in a water cooled engine requires hoses, cooling in the front, and just.. why? If you want to go fast for cheap, get something else.

All these bodies (targas and cabrios) are flexy flyers. I have a 77.

lol. 90s GM products will never be worth much because they’re all garbage.
