And what would they do? Drive terribly and complain a lot? Sounds fun.

Only if you suck at driving. Or WANT to. :)
I loved SA too. Great times! But the physics in GTAIV are just so engaging. Driving a car, really fast, really well, takes a LOT of skill. It was just a totally different experience, and a lot less 'arcade'.
Pretty sure I've seen this car, or one just like it, at the Milwaukee Masterpiece car show a few times. Def a looker.
Your loss. Excellent story with some interesting perspective.
Go play saint's row. GTA has evolved with people my age; most of the GTA fans that grew up on the original are now in their 30s, and they want something a little more badass, and a little more serious.
Totally what I thought of, too. Cannot. Wait. I'm flying to TX for the release of this game to spend the weekend with a buddy!
Not sure if you know this, but any of these detroit memes don't really make it outside detroit. It's an interesting perspective, but a lot of the things you're writing about, nobody has any CLUE about. Might be better to fill people in instead of assuming they know about detroit.
Bad quarter = not a big deal. People who are obsessed with ALWAYS having a good quarter (and not thinking long term) wind up making stupid ass decisions, like focusing everything on say, producing SUVs while ignoring the cost of gas rising (cough the big three for the previous 2 decades cough)
I'm a hardcore skier. I pre ordered Johnny Mosley's Mad Trix game for the PS2, because I liked SSX but wanted to ski instead of snowboard. It was MIND BLOWINGLY terrible. I tried to return it the next day, but the game store would only give me $12. I spent $60 on it the day before. Never again.
Just like every SUV owner claims they use their vehicle for charity. Right.
By far. Then again, basically all anime besides Akira, Initial D, and Ghost in the Shell is really really gay.
K. Gluck with that.
I just ordered a new 911 key. $45. Even has a nifty light. :)
Porsche might get expensive... but it'd still be worth it. I mean you're driving a freaking 911. To avoid rust, every late fall, before the snow/salt starts, spray the bottom of the car and any trouble spots with Boshield T9. It has kept my daily 91 civic rust free for years now. :)
Jubaru, do you wrench yourself?
I fucking HATE center mounted switches. Dog drool, soda, whatever, it all lands right on the console and having switches there is just asking for trouble. Keep them on the doors.
It will also depreciate about 10 grand in 5 years. :\
Badass. I just picked up a 77 911, and after repairing the worn out busted stuff, I'm planning on dailying it all winter, in Wisconsin. I've had really good luck in the past spraying rust-prone cars with Boshield T9 to avoid corrosion, have you noticed anything starting to go on your car?
? Porsche is rear engine, good in snow. Hence why they were successful in rallies...
