THANK YOU FOR THIS.

I can get on board with that. Nice having this discussion :) Hope you had a good labor day weekend.

If it's so empowering, why don't we see more selfies that feature a woman in her business suit before her first day on the job? It's just kind of trailer trashy. SRY.

:)

Great accomplishment. Maybe it will generate more comments from your readers than the Miley Cyrus/Twerking/MTV article? Just kidding.

I said "woman" because this is Jez, and the pic was of Snookie, and I have a feeling the segment and the story was directed at women. When I said "give me a woman" I can see how that would come off as gender-ism. I was not speaking from a dating perspective or from a point of sexual interest, but rather to the issue

I guess we just differ on this, and that's okay. I think it's kind of sad, if you look really awesome, you feel the need to take a picture of yourself and circulate it to the ends of the interwebz. Have some self control! It shouldn't matter what others think. If YOU think you look good, isn't that enough?

College girl drinks alcohol, mouths off about her drunken escapades = "Amazing Twitter"?

Not at all - posting a pic taken by someone else is in my "Thatz Okay" file. She didn't pose, in front of the mirror, and have the photographer shoot 75 pix from different angles. Showing off authentic pictures where one looks hot is wayyyy different. And so okay.

I'll take a woman who posts a candid picture of herself in a kayak with a goofy looking helmet on any day over one who posts a hot selfie. Shows confidence, shows she is secure with who she is. FWIW, I don't understand why so many people feel comfortable posting selfies. They're so...un-genuine. For every selfie

Is this less shocking because it's a women's event? My experience tells me that women, on average, reach their athletic peak at an earlier age than men. Look at Missy Franklin, the high school swimmer that rocked the Olympics. And you can point to a lot of young golfers too, didn't a 13 year-old win an LPGA event

I think it's likely that going into the match, Riggs was trying to win. After the first few points, though, he realized he wasn't - and then began playing as if he was "flopping". Perhaps throwing a few points on purpose, because if he was going to lose anyway he might as well look like he was trying to lose. It's

Sorry. I jumped on that issue and was probably over-eager to make that point. I just think that women don't support women's sports as much as they'd like to think. Your point is very valid, and anyone saying a women's championship is not valid because they only play 3 sets is full of crap.

Okay, let's get upset about women getting paid less in every sport. But first, let's think about why they get paid less: nobody's watching. And that probably includes YOU. When's the last time you attended a WNBA game? Who was the league MVP last year? Ever watched women's golf on TV? Can you name any women

As a resident geography geek, I find continental classification very interesting, especially when it differentiates from our preconceived racial notions. According to the map on your wall: yeah, Saudi women, Israeli women, along with tons and tons of Russian women are "Asian". And Costa Rican women are North

I always thought the Twins "TC" cap emblem was one of the most underrated baseball logos. I think it's the only cross-letter logo in baseball that doesn't reference the actual city name, and the color scheme is classic. I think it has some challenges, primarily because it belongs to the Twins and has a common color

He's probably geeked out on meth. I specialize in "armchair diagnosis" around these parts. I've spent a great deal of time around drug addicts and alcoholics in recovery, as well as people with mental illnesses. Not just on the Internet, but in real life too. So far I've been right 100% of the time (Bynes, Tootie,

I must be missing something here - whatever Mdubbs said "congrats sean I see my suggestion worked" has no relation to this story....on the surface it seems harmless enough.

Admittedly it is just an armchair observation. Not to sound defensive, but that's what "Just my .02" usually means. I am not a doctor nor do I claim to be one. I'm just posting my thoughts on an internet page. As for whether it's "appropriate" or not, musing on whether or not a local nudist is mentally stable
