Pretty low, Deadspin. Is nothing sacred? I hope someone finds this girl's profile and posts it publicly somewhere.

I work for myself, doing data analysis for small companies - primarily surrounding social media metrics etc. I love the freedom - I split my time between Chicago and various countries in Central America, as long as there's wifi, I'm in great shape. Lately I've been thinking about joining a "real company" again so I

Ladies, you have dresses, skirts, gowns and pants. Halter tops, tank tops, t-shirts and all the swimwear. You've got bracelets, earrings, sexy undergarments, shoes (GOOD GOD THE SHOES!), and lipstick and the rest of the makeup family. Can we just let the guys be the hat people? What's next? Are you coming after

Agreed - this is a rural MN story for sure! Growing up near Uptown Minneapolis we had normal city things like pro sports and sidewalks. In order to see horsies and farm stuff we had to go up to Grandma's Place in Pine City....and woah, those folks are strange. Er, different.

I disagree with the poster who said "extremely loyal fans to a shitty team" for a couple reasons. #1. They're not endlessly shitty. They had a nice run in '07 & '08, not to mention a fantastic team in 2003 which lost in the infamous Bartman series. #2. At least 50% of each Cubs crowd is made up of tourists.

Great point - even though Deadspin does pretty much say that at the end of the article, it bears repeating. I am actually in the process of watching "The Wire" (still on Season 1, and yeah this is my first time watching the show) - and holy hell, after watching that, there's no way in hell I'd talk to the police.

Thanks for that tidbit - I hadn't a clue, as I don't follow the NBA really. Good to see that some pro athletes are still-jes'-plain-havin-FUN out there.

Yawn. So the White Walkers must represent our subconscious thoughts on skinny, evil, heartless Europeans who seek to colonize and kill everyone in their path without mercy? Yes, sometimes it's just a show. The season finale is yesterday's news, time to move on folks.

Micheal Bluth voice: "Her?"

In theory the poor and destitute in America also have an equal chance to attend Harvard- same chance as Susie rich-pants. How has that worked out?

NFL replay is indeed better today, but it wasn't much better than MLB's effort in the early goings. Today we "go upstairs for a booth review", but it wasn't long ago when NFL refs were looking "under the hood" to make every call. That wasn't exactly rocket science there - it was just a black bed sheet draped over

You'd sure think so - he's basically the AD AND football coach, or at least was for one game last season (which is hilarious in its own right).

I thought the same thing...reading the article I was like "ooh, yeah, totally right hard to make friends, let's hear about it" - only to get an informative ask.com style article about how to make friends when you're old. I actually live in Chicago too, had a major life change in my mid 30's here and basically stopped

Any chance you could just TELL US what the actual price is instead of acting like a pretentious prick?

I hadn't read these before, just kinda panned over them - but after seeing this installment I'm going to be a regular reader of these umpire stories. Thanks for sharing, very cool stuff!!!

Mmmhmm - no prob. I'm a dude by the way, spent many years in the old frat house back in a big college town, held an office position in the house and everything. Worked at the local bar, went to football games. Pretty typical life. Got an English degree, ended up in sales, somehow got promoted to an executive role

If you were to read a diary of a 14 year-old girl talking about the importance of her homecoming date and pining over cheerleading squad drama, you'd roll your eyes. Us olds do the same thing every time someone talks about a sorority OR law school. Nothing wrong with getting excited about it, but quite honestly it

Slow down and stop going down the internet wormhole here! Deep breath. It's hard not to respond to idiot comments here, but I've found it's best not to engage with dummies on Gawker sites. Pretty much every comment I make on Gawker, be it sublime or insightful, gets at least one "Go Find a Cave And DIE IN IT"

If someone kicked me in the dick, I would NOT say "owww, my jewels". My jewels are my balls, and it feels a lot different getting nailed in the testes than it does when you get kicked in the dick. For example, if you aren't wearing a cup and you take a foul ball to the Johnson, you're going to be hurting but you can

I would reply to this, but I think now it's just a "discussion". When this new system hit Deadspin I basically stopped reading it. How is this better???? All the *good* points are just a bunch of social media hogwash lingo. In the end, while there might be more bells and whistles, it's simply harder to read &
