Of all the cars, the Dodge Shadows I've had have the perfect solution for this. No prop rod, no struts... they hold the hood open with a great big clockspring in the hood linkage.

Well with the 4 cyl "engine", the zero to 60 time was (let's see, it's February now......)

The majority of it didn't have to... I've only put it on when I used it, all together there are 20 1/4-20 bolts and they're on T-nuts and designed with no shear, a couple minutes with a speed handle and you're done. The rail caps are starting to look rough though, greyed with raised grain but no warping so I think

welding engineer here; while welding aluminum may be difficult, it's not the welds that are the concern. Most aluminum alloys get their strength from the heat treating process, which is destroyed by welding. To fix it properly, it would have to be removed, welded, and then stuck in a giant oven to heat treat again.

I own a hemi 8 Speed. Plus, for the hoon in me,

A military pilot called for a priority landing because his single-engine jet fighter was running "a bit peaked." Air Traffic Control told the fighter pilot that he was number two, behind a B-52 that had one engine shut down.
