Having automatic auto-aiming shotguns on your vehicle, means you don’t have to deal with this:

Could it possibly go against dealership policy? If they have rules against it, could possibly get let go?

I just replaced the blower motor resistor module and the pigtail connector in my ‘06 Silverado. The reason: The blower motor would stop working and I would have to slap the underside of the glove box in the passenger foot well to restart it.

Touche...although they are sometimes one and the same.

I also look forward to the more technical and engineering oriented columns. I love delving into that stuff.

Don’t blame you there. A large portion of engineers design a part, then go talk to people on the factory floor and see if they can build it after the design has been approved. There is a huge Manufacturing/Design disconnect. It SHOULD be a dialogue of constant back and forth that ends with a part that does what it was

Thank you. *bow*

Fuck ‘em. I don’t work in the auto industry (I work in metal fabrication), but its literally the same crap. +1 on the Hellcat.

A fellow engineer! Welcome! Bean counters are the true evil beings...There, did I get on your good side now?

Clearly, you should have driven the Scion Go 4 Broke...Then it would have been a much closer outcome. (It took me 30 seconds to figure out that you kept changing names).

The one thing that has me looking at Carmax is their semi-cheap “transfer fees”. I’m set on getting a 2014 VW Passat TDI SE with a manual. That’s all I plug in when I look onto sites online. Since I live in the Black Hills of South Dakota, the closest Carmax is Denver. That’s a 400 mile drive for me.

Agreed. I learned my lesson. Except for car dealers. They somehow manage to get it done in 1-2 weeks usually.

Sold some concert tickets on a Facebook “garage sale” group and was pretty hesitant about the whole deal. Then the buyer asked if I was willing to sign a written agreement. That much pretty killed any doubt about the buyer. If you are asking me to sign a written agreement, then you are as nervous of me shanking you in

I got nailed on this when I went to register my pickup in South Dakota from Nebraska plates after moving. I sent the title request form (SD requires the actual title since they do electronic titles) via fax to my bank (a very large national bank with a dealer services department), took them a week to register that

Driving in New Zealand was a learning curve for my brother and I. We got the lane positioning wrong a lot, plus dealing with traffic being on the other side. A complete nightmare. Not to mention that New Zealand only halvsies believes in road shoulders, but has a giant hard-on for one lane, blind corner bridges,

Bullshit, I only see two Nissan Titans right there. ;) (I see what you did)

I drive roughly 30,000 miles a year...not that hard to fathom 35,000 in two.

I'm not saying that they are hiding them per se, but it's more of a lie by omission. For most people, they aren't going to think past the PR or research the nuances of panel thickness vs. material (and the Ford dealer I went to didn't have one that I could see. I didn't look very hard for it though, since I was
