I just borrowed money for a car for the first time, myself. It seems that as new cars get more expensive, used ones are too, and the speed with which cars rust out of serviceability in Vermont doesn’t help.

One of these will make it way easier to type accurately on the road.

Common Tread did a two-part piece on the subject of partially automated vehicles and motorcycles.  It's worth a read

No

I don’t see what’s ugly about it. It’s clean and purposeful. And other than maybe some commercial vans, I don’t think there’s much for sale in the US that fits that description.

I’ll take one of each, please.

I’ve had a few with AC (Absolutely Coolest) buttons.

Out of state plates are probably a bigger portion here, really.

Vermont, too. Every year.

I need to keep this video handy for the next time my wife impatiently reminds me "they have a stop", as I check every direction heading into an intersection.

Due to my location, my rent includes a subscription to regular snowstorms from November through April.

Not snow tires, actually.  Just some fresher all-seasons to replace the ones that came on it.  I'll get some good snow tires before next winter.

Oh I’m gonna be that guy alright. Bought a 2012 5-speed Impreza hatch last week, and getting new tires and a snowstorm tomorrow. Snownuts are very much on the menu.

Riding in an Uber a few years ago in NYC, I looked up to see that my driver was in the process of passing an ambulance that was hustling down the road, lights on. I chose not to think too hard about that.

No, but the 3.0 Vulcan v6 was offered in the Taurus, Windstar, and Ranger. And was unimpressive in all three applications.

I would pay FSM money and more for an interactive digital model of my cars and bike.  It sounds prohibitively expensive to produce, but would be the holy Grail for the modern shadetree wrench.

Yeah,I realized that after posting and edited.  You got me.

I had it in my Ranger, too. It was fairly durable, but otherwise unimpressive.

Edited.  Never mind.

My dad drove a Windstar for a while when I was a kid. That’s all I remember about it. I don’t remember what color it was. I remember my mom’s silver Cherokee and also silver 4-door (ugh) Geo Tracker from the same general time. The Cherokee had one of those suitcase sized cell phones under the seat. And it was cool.
