Normally, I feel the same... But...

I would probably also say a “not nice thing” if I saw someone pulling up my motorcycle cover. Or I’d play dumb at first and ask them about “their” bike to feel them out. Either way, either kind of vehicle, Not Cool.

Absolutely. To both. Remember he has a whole fleet of wonderful, shitty jeeps that we don’t hear about so often. Plus he had to double down on the success of Project Swiss Cheese last year.

On the bright side, Project Slow Devil provided some of the best Jalopnik in my 5 years of reading

I ignored a small oil spot under the back of my 97 ranger. It drove like a totally different vehicle when the rear diff seized.

I spent 5 minutes thinking about this after 12 hours at work. That’s not “wrapped up”. That’s being interested and curious about the world and the people in it.

Well, ONE other person thought this was interesting and inconsistent with experience. Thanks for the reply.

Amen. I’ve driven in Vermont snow my entire life, any and every snowstorm. Only recently have i actually driven Subarus, and what a revalation. Hilarious fun with “all” season tires and unstoppable with snows.

My wife has an Outback. She moved to VT from much less snowy places. This year she ponied up for studded hakkapeliittas. My God, that thing is glorious to drive in the snow.

I’m a Vermonter who will possibly be moving to CO within a few years. Sounds like I’ll be right at home.

Your username tells me you belong here, and your comment tells me you’re not a piece of shit. I hope you get ungrayed soon.

Reading your initial response and this post makes me wonder where this generational gap falls. I’m 27 years old and in high school this game was played by both genders. Always heterosexually, however. Girls picked boys, and vice versa. We weren’t THAT open minded yet.

My Honda Element does the same thing with the windows and disconnected battery. However, rolling it (only the driver’s window has auto up/down) all the way down and up a few times uninterrupted will get auto back.

Like others here, it hasn’t really played into my calculations. Though for several years now, I’ve lived within 15 miles of my workplace, currently only 9. Fuel economy doesn’t have much effect on my commute.

2 door SUVs. I guess it’s the shooting brake of the off-road world, but there used to be many. And they all looked so much better than their 4 door versions.

That’s my take as well. I personally don’t usually like the hot/cold air blowing right in my face. Some do. Sometimes I direct the far left vent as additional defrosting for the driver’s left window.

None of these times tell me it’s good as a traditional SUV, if you mean good off road. This test seems to be all about surfaces. A Subaru Impreza can find impressive grip on slick and rough surfaces. So can the AWD systems from most manufacturers.

Slow car fast?

It’s gonna be a challenge without a tailpipe, but I’m sure someone will find a way.
