I'd honestly go with a 997 GT3. Proper 3rd pedal and hydraulic steering instead of that electric nonsense. Plus higher mileage examples are a bang-for-your-buck. It's the raw and natural Porsche experience without going too far back.

The uber rare 540i wagon with a lot of aftermarket bits! Take the whole family and dog hooning for $9,600! Sadly it's automatic, but I can look past that.
