This is the attitude of pretty much anyone anywhere. I very much live in the US, not some far away land where you think things don’t get damaged, and expect my stuff to not get damaged. Most people take pride in how their stuff is handled. She has a completely legitimate concern and wrote a detailed and informative

What shared outrage? It was a well written article with advice about what to do when a parking garage damages your car. It clearly states what happened and how she got it fixed.

Hmm I guess I would just feel like an asshole after the exchanges I’ve read, but that’s just me.

Oh, I just read the rest of your comments on this thread. Happy trolling dude!

Jesus christ, this has to be the dumbest thread on Kinja. Even for you, this is impressive.

Then you wake up one day living somewhere near Detroit with a bunch of rusted out Chrysler/FCA products in your yard, greasy car parts in your dishwasher and your washing machine filled with used motor oil.......

I hope you were being sarcastic, if not, Fuck you POS.

Does the author need to get over it? Or did you simply need to keep scrolling since this doesn’t concern you?

Good eye! Do you like the Firehawks better?

You may have missed the part where he lives in NYC where your “home” garage is often a parking attendant garage.

Son, you might be in the wrong place.

Those Hankook V12 EVO2 tires are really good for the money.  I was super happy with them (but upgraded to Firehawk Indys)

Yes, how dare she expect the place she pays (a lot) to park her car not to damage it.

Okay, cool. Hey, can I borrow a couple hundred bucks?

... yet again, in the article...

Garbage. You should expect your property to return to you in the same condition in which you left it. It’s their job to park cars and not damage them. They failed. Your acceptance of their failure is lazy.

You know what’s also normal?

Keep the nice car at home.

I get the impression from the article that in NYC, this IS “leaving the car at home”

Then why bother to own a nice car? I mean, my Mercedes is a big car (450SE), so I don’t drive it to places I know have tight parking spaces, but otherwise I’ll drive it anywhere/everywhere.
