Officially, MotorTrend got a 5.9 out of a pre refresh FoST, but back to the actual feeling of fast argument, it’s a wash. I don’t put too much stock in 0-60 times for hot hatches or most cars...

I really like the video Matt Farah did with his FiST vs the E46 M3. In real world, non track, the Fiesta is an absolute BLAST to drive, where with the M3, you have to get really high in the revs to get the sweetness out of it, which is very tough to do legally on public roads.
100% agree. That’s why I like Car and Driver’s 5-60 and 50-70 tests. Those are much more useful to how fast the car is in real life. On a similar note, I never got close to the 4ish second launches of the Mustangs, but that’s cuz I was always somewhere abandoned and not on a prepped surface. Definitely not because I’m…
Learn to drive.
Ford did a great job with the current focus, I would buy an RS over an STI, GTI, or CTR any day, although I think I’m sticking with rwd, way too much fun ;). And I agree, an older Accord (4 cylinder, those J series motors are too quick) is really what a high school kid needs, I’m surprised you’re both still alive.…
LOL
I’ve passed more than my fair share of stuck SUVs, crossovers, and trucks during Chicago winters, and my only car is an FR-S. Tires matter far more than vehicle or drive type. My small rwd “sports” car does amazing in the winter.
Wisconsin resident here. Small cars are an absolute blast in the snow with the right tires.
You do realize that some of us want a vehicle that weighs less than 3500lbs, right?
I grew up in Iowa, driving a Dodge Omni in rural snow and ice. It’s character-building. Your odds of dying in an icy snowball of death are barely even 1 in 3.
Nobody ever goes from nought to sixty. In-gear acceleration is far more important for daily drivability.
F20 swap would definitely be easier, although in my opinion the k20 is the superior motor because of the brilliance of its variable timing control. I definitely miss the high revving nature of that thing, spinning close to 9 (Hondata, single spring valves (early model dc5), and minor bolt-ons) was exhilarating, kept…
The Dc5 is pretty fwd looking (used to own a type s), although it would be a badass to have a k20 powered rwd RSX... I went the easy route and just bought a BMW though.
Well, selling a Turbo S for being too fast isn’t nearly as bad as selling, say, a Geo Metro for being too fast. A Turbo S is too fast for a lot of people, probably.
I mean... I love playing these games, and it’s downloading right now, but while playing Horizon 3, someone asked me, “How cool would this be if it really happened?”
Still doesn’t negate the fact that it is a stupid comment. If you said, “I have a Subaru” and I said, “I have to ask, are you a lesbian?” That would be a dumb question/comment, even if data backed up the fact that lesbian’s or any group was a disproportionately large consumer of that good.
Yikes. Ninja edit fail.
Thursday night cannot come fast enough as I got the Ultimate Edition.
Caught him red-handed.
Thanks! I was born late in the rotation. They had a good run.
