I just saw both comments so i’ll just consolidate it here. That link you posted is perfect. They really nail whats wrong with the game. It went from being Forza to just another generic racing game. While I doubt they have seen it, I would like to hear Turn 10's response to a few of its critiques.

No toyota though which totally sucks. But the rest? Pretty much anything you could imagine

As you recall, in FM2 there were tuning shops or “garages”. Garage Setagaya was one of the first, and honestly, best. This was back when you had to actually “build” each car by changing every single setting on a car manually, then apply the livery, then put it on the Auction House. Nowadays you just copy whole cars.

I’ve been digging the licenced modded cars they’ve been adding lately. Some Hoonigan guy (I’m sorry IDK anything about anyone) let us drive his V8 RX7, and even better they let us put a 13B in there. That’s probably one of my favourite cars in FH3 by a huge margin. FH4's pe-order dlc has some pro drift cars, looking

I can definitely see Horizon being a hard sell for most core Motorsports players; outside racing sims I really enjoy arcade racers, and I love open world games, so I was sort of an easy sell there. I like just driving around without goals, but it’s definitely lacking in structure and progression if you’re used to

I definitely feel that Forza could do a looooot more to address the whole aftermarket side of car enthusiasm. It’s kind of depressing how 9 times out of 10, if you go to aero options, the only set available is the ugly Forza set.

Yep this is all me right here. I started with the OG Forza, but with the console generation change, I switched to Horizon (because Horizon 2 was very good, and FM5 was Extremely Fucking Bad). I really strongly disliked FM6, and I avoided FM7 because it seems like more of what I hate and none of what I like

I knew there was a reason I liked you

Honestly, Forza 7 is just a slightly better version of Forza 6. Most of the cars still handle the same, the feel is somewhat better, and the graphics are like 15% better. For instance, and this might be a bit of a humble brag, I have top times on Nurburgring Nordschleife in the 90's Ferrari 641 F1 car. I’ve probably

What I said had nothing to do with Horizon. I do agree that the Horizon games, at least as of late have more incentive to buy and replayability than the Motorsport games in my opinion.

FYI: Original Garage Setagaya member here, after I was also a member of other tuning garages as well.

I played FM4 to death, but I don’t even remember it anymore. If it became available through backwards compatability, I’d scoop it up, and then spend about 27 days claiming all the weekly rewards I’ve been getting for years. Last week was the first time FM4 was not included in the weekly payout on Forza Hub.

I recall back in FM4 when the game was hot, I had both the TS S15 and the TS Supra, both of which were unicorns and completely impossible to get nowadays. I’d go and smoke people on the strip with the latter and come back after a couple of rounds to my inbox blowing up with people wondering “How the hell did you get

Did you manage to pickup Forza 7? They actually brought back Suzuka! However, it’s the only Japanese track which is still unfortunate.

I skipped 5 as well, but a while ago, XBox was offering it for free for Gold members, so I picked it up and rushed through it to get the Forza points so my weekly payout would increase.

FM7 reintroduced some old missing tracks and kept everything from 6 and then added a few. I thought FM7 was the best FM in a while.

You just have to flick it hard into a corner to get the most out of it. Tune the rear of the car to be loose and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Don’t fear the throttle either. A solid 500hp setup with short gearing can allow you to hold the gas at 75-100% all the way around the corner. I use a controller too.

I’ve owned all the Forza’s since #1 on original Xbox except Forza 5. I completely skipped it. I played it a bit at a friends house prior to my Xbone purchase and ended up just waiting for Forza 6.

You can buy a brand new system for like $179 and it includes a game. I would probably just do that to get a warranty.

I almost feel like we’ll finally get the successor to FM4 we’ve all been waiting for right as this console generation winds down.
