Cocaine can be legally prescribed (it’s Schedule II, not Schedule I), but that’s awfully unusual. I had a doctor who lost his license for repeatedly writing cocaine Rx’s for personal enjoyment. Also for sexual relationships with patients. Oops.

And he’s given so much practical and useful attention to the problems of ODs due to heroin being laced with fentanyl, and other opioid-related problems.
