It’s a pleasant change, to hear that.

I love your verbosity.

First, I’m glad this soldier got the surgery she deserved.

Damn. How I wish you and I could sit down at a cafe and share a conversation at an apropos time. We’d find a few things worth discussing, probably. I don’t have many opportunities; social isolation isn’t a choice, but I’m accustomed to solitude. I am however surprised to find myself making connections with others to a

Good for you! And where you see wordiness, others (myself included) see an open discussion about physical and mental illness and lived human experience, which is not something to shy away from. I can only speak for myself (though I’m going to assume that I’m not alone here) when I say that I would much prefer frank

just so we’re all clear, right now it’s brett ratner, accused of rape: 0 arrests.  louis c.k, accused of sexual harassment.: 0 arrests. . kevin spacey, accused of molestation: 0 arrests. rose mcgowan, accused of maybe having a drug in her bag, 1 arrest. even if these are in no way connected, this would be the most

My father and mother both agreed to lifelong secrecy about her bipolar disorder. Given his choice to remain distant from her, presumably because his outward attitude toward illness is one of extreme stoicism? (Though inwardly, I suspect he finds it intolerable even to think about.) He was—to say the least—resentful

Sorry to hear you’re wrangling with them demons, it’s hard enough as it is without jackasses like your ex-employer making life even more difficult. Glad you managed to get out of that situation and that the methadone is helping.

I really enjoyed you sharing your experience. I think one of the magical things about the Jez comments is that people share really fascinating personal narratives - it’s a great opportunity to learn about the lives of others.

That’s what I am trying to figure out- her bag tested positive for traces of a narcotic. But there is no mention that they found more than traces of a narcotic in her bag.

I’d noticed your screen name before. Didn’t know whether it was whimsical or otherwise. Unfortunately the latter, at least to some extent.

Totally off-topic but I’ve just heard Australia has voted yes on marriage equality!

Cocaine can be legally prescribed (it’s Schedule II, not Schedule I), but that’s awfully unusual. I had a doctor who lost his license for repeatedly writing cocaine Rx’s for personal enjoyment. Also for sexual relationships with patients. Oops.

And he’s given so much practical and useful attention to the problems of ODs due to heroin being laced with fentanyl, and other opioid-related problems.

Here’s a joke - how do you know that someone’s polyamorous? Because they NEVER STOP TALKING ABOUT IT. I would assume that is the reason why the family doesn’t want them over for Xmas, although to be honest I really don’t care.

Doesn’t the federal government classify marijuana as a narcotic?

Also cocaine is legally classified as a narcotic under the Controlled Substances Act.

Rose McGowan, dangerous criminal. Gimme a break.

A woman who we know had trained spies stalking her in an effort to discredit and silence her is arrested for cocaine “residue” in baggage they believe to be hers, left behind on a plane.

Wow, slow news day, huh?
