but doesn’t announcing you caught the virus in the first place show weakness? you’re probably correct, but I also would not have been surprised if the very qualities you’re describing had led to them keeping his illness a secret until literally it could no longer be hidden (which, given that he reportedly is now at

I’m convinced he doesn’t have it. It seems counter to his normal demeanour to publicly announce any illness or acknowledge any weakness. They could have just canceled public appearances for some made-up reason, and waited it out to see if he gets sicker (at which point they’d have no choice but to announce it). I’m

Oh great, now I have two things in common with Melania - physical repulsion to her oompa loompa husband, and a totally justified hatred of Christmas decorations.

yah, but that would require them to possess empathy of some kind so... nah. they'll just pump their fists that their burnt orange pustule "scored one".

I'm very, very high right now, but Be Best at Doing Sobriety is a stupid slogan, right?

those are some glassy fuckin eyes.

He did the exact same thing 4 years ago and won the presidency.

uh, god, don’t even joke about that.

Man, I don’t know what it is about this particular PC entry, but it is bringing out some truly heart-wrenching tales of childhood grief. My heart goes out to all of you.

OH COME ON.... like he knows that word.

That’s assuming your side wins. The alternative is you lose the civil war, and in place of the current system, you get a shiny new theocracy. Think Iran in the 1980s.

I like how the guy on the left has a “This way up” sign on his leg, in case the movers forget.

Whenever I hear things like this, it always strikes me how the default position of companies is that workers are untrustworthy. If you give us an inch, apparently, we’ll try to take a mile. But at the same time, we’re trusted with safeguarding critical information, like customer banking information, or something like

hahah, we’ll have to agree to disagree on the best part. I buy two loaves of bread every two weeks. Not eating the heel seems wasteful and... I don’t know, juvenile? I guess some people have extreme reactions to textures, which is fair. But if you’re not one of those people... yah. Eat your damn bread.

oh good call. thick enough to absorb a lot of egg batter without falling apart.

damn right it does! or croutons or crustilles (is that how you spell it? the little toasted bread you put tastier stuff on).

I literally just responded to someone else basically exactly this. the current level of sick days one gets is not realistic, especially if you have kids, the numero uno sickness vector. I get six per year. luckily, I'm childless. but for others, it's just not enough. you're take is right on. stop lionizing people that

if there's on small silver lining in this whole thing, it's the increased awareness of how to prevent spreading illness. wear a mask, stay home from work if you're sick. I wonder if sick day rates will change. I know where I lived you're mandated 6 sick days a year, which ain't much. it'd be nice to see that increased

I totally agree. I never realized how much I relied on the bottom half of a face to gauge my responses to what someone is saying.
