You really think people are buying $50-60K (or more!) EVs to save a couple hundred bucks a year on gas? Remember electricity is cheaper than oil as a vehicle fuel but it isn’t free.  This barely moves the needle. 

This is so comically dumb I don’t even know where to start. I’ve got an upcoming flight on a route served by probably 5 airlines, at least (I know for sure Delta, United, Southwest, Frontier). I’m on Delta. Who do I get paired up with? I have a Comfort Plus seat booked on Delta - you try to stick me in a middle seat…

As alluded to in my original post, the number of people for whom the fine control of a gas range matters is MAYBE 5% of home cooks. Most people are using it boil water and heat soup, maybe make eggs if they’re feeling fancy.  Regardless, I was only replying to the idea that there’s nothing else available - of course…

What? We’ve had electric ranges forever (they kinda suck, I get it) but induction cooktops are here and are fine for 95% of homes - still a little expensive but as with all things that will change.   

In a lot of areas this is true even of Teslas - can’t go more than 5 over the limit. On Interstates you’re not capped though.  Mostly active on 2 lane county highways, although it’s far from consistent. 

You can bitch about alpha-numeric naming systems all you want, but seriously Cadillac I have no idea what a given name represents.  I’m looking at their website now and I guess I do see a method to their madness, but it’s go to be the worst combo of names out there (Lexus is a close second).

Once sat down at a place and they said (upfront) the AC is out in the kitchen, it’s already 140 back there, so we’ve only got what we can make cold (no oven, range, or fryer).  I think they could use the toaster.

Minor note but the PHEV Pacifica gets the full $7,500 EV tax credit, which brings the price back in line.
