Lol I like that the hype train is engulfed in flames.

I agree about the Wii, though I think the lack of deeper gameplay was dictated as much by third parties as it was by consumers. In depth-games were, more or less, only coming from Nintendo for the first couple years.

Cheers, mate! This must mean we are both awesome.

I must be the anomaly, because I do care what it looks like. It won't make or break my decision to buy it. I care what my laptop and phone look like too. Maybe it seems vain, but I'm interested in such things. I'm also a bit conditioned by previous reveals, as they always show us what it looks like.

I think that's why I would have been satisfied with a full decade of the current gen. I don't feel that the current consoles games are lacking due to insufficient or outdated technology. Then again, maybe I'm just used to it and don't know what I'm missing :-p

I loved this and all of your replies.

I both agree and disagree here. I completely agree about remote play and the EyeToy. However, neither of these innovations were very successful. I give them full credit for having great ideas, but they seem unable to execute.

YES. I would have liked them say they included something in their product because it is an integral part of their console, not because other people are doing it. I think the ps4 will still be a great console, but that strategy seems rooted a lack of confidence.

I figured as much. This makes more sense than trying to justify the system's absence as a marketing technique. In my opinion, they should have waited until it was finalized.

I agree.

I second this motion. That video was perfect.

I'd like the Vita to be capable of being a controller, but not required.

This make a lot of sense, especially considering what Blizzard had to say. But do you feel that the touchpad will be a comfortable way to do this? It seems like begin able to switch one of the control sticks to control the mouse would be better.

I thought there was another on the back like the vita, my bad.

Getting help from friends sounds great. This is something that Wii U developers have mentioned, but only for people in the same room (one person aids using the touchpad while the other plays on the screen). I'm interested to see this happen remotely. Also, being able to watch your friends play is a great way to

You know, it sounds like they just made it more like a 360 controller. I'm unsure about the touchpad too.

So I laughed at this... then I realized it was a better answer than Sony gave.

The more they talk about this controller, the less excited I get about it. I think they've failed on their simplicity (or elegance) goal concerning the dualshock 4. They got rid of nothing, reassigned two buttons, added two touch pads and a gigantic light. I think the goal of adding a touch pad was so they could say

His comment of "Why do you care?" is why I wondered why they bothered with any of this. That sounds like spin to me, which makes me think they don't have a final design yet. If they don't have a final design, in my opinion, they shouldn't have shown the controller and camera either. Considering how much had been

Is the different texture on the back meant to be a grip, or is it just a style choice? Did anyone get their hands on a controller after the presentation?
