In the vein of turn based strategy games, try Ghost Recon. It's vaguely like a Fire Emblem spin-off with guns, tanks, and Russians. I bought it on a whim and ended up enjoying it. I'm sure you can find it really cheap now too.

In the game review Stephen said, "It's weird and a bit disappointing that there's no same-sex marriage in the game." I assume that means no gay characters either.
How strangers have warped this picture to fit whatever comment they have about guns, good or bad, is ludicrous. It reminds me of what Suleiman says to Ezio in Assassin's Creed Revelations, "The moral of any story matches the temple of the man telling it."
It's refreshing to hear a lack of greed but lots of honesty about how he views his wealth. I wouldn't be the same way though. I would want to do that thing rich people do where they "take money and make it into more money"
I pre-ordered, but it's now on back order. I'm trying my luck around town Monday. I'm fairly confident that if I go out early I'll find it..
Yeah, it's easy to call you elitist, but there's a respectable argument in what you are saying: sometimes jobs aren't intellectually demanding, they are merely about showing up, and they may not be fulfilling when you're aiming toward higher education, co-workers notwithstanding. But, you're never really stuck…
I think circumventing "permadeath" is the nature of how we play, but it's more about distraction and impatience than the trial and error of restarting. I restart to avoid "permadeath," but I am admittedly playing casually, in between tasks and in free time. I'm rarely focusing enough to play the battle perfectly.
I'm playing SS on 3DS too, and I think I restart for Ross more than any other character. I constantly overestimate his ability. And Vanessa... stupid archers. (And if you haven't done so already, take Colm into foggy levels to increase visibility.)
Please do this! I'm curious but too cowardly to try myself.
I began playing Fire Emblem for the first time late last year, and I refused to let anyone die. I would restart while the fallen unit's final words were on the screen. As I play through Sacred Stones for the second time, I realize that Seth is powerful enough to beat most of the game alone. I'm still leveling up the…
I wonder if he kept a running receipt for how much this collection cost him... and I wonder what he does, especially being such a young person, to afford all of this.
I agree! This is very organized, obsessive hoarding!
I'm vaguely disturbed too... I began to fear that in the final moments the girl would be killing something with that smiley mask, and I had to stop the video.
Foursquare has never been worth using to me, but a city wide never-ending game of Risk? Hello Foursquare, meet Awesome. Awesome; foursquare.
I agree. Given the detail in the rest of the statue, the face looks very generic.
I am reading "Why We Hate Us," a book about why America finds America so obnoxious. I'm also trying to read a book about database programming, which is significantly more daunting.
Throwing out any scientific knowledge before the modern area seems somewhat reckless, but that is off topic. The "first" video game in concept was a patent for a "cathode ray tube amusement device" in 1948. One that I mentioned before, "Tennis for Two," did use an oscilloscope and an analog computer, and was…
There was a collector's edition for oblivion: [xbox360.ign.com]
Relationships usually end because people with different viewpoints are unwilling to change or see the other side, but its disappointing that someone would be so dedicated and defensive about racism.
I guess we are saying the same thing different ways. Women should be discussing it, but since both men and women create games, and there are more men than women creating games, men should be discussing it as well. It just so happens that a man brought it up, but there seem to be women discussing it here too. In…
