I ride many roads like that in Northern California, if I’m going solo I call/text a friend letting them know my general route and time window. If they don’t get a text/call from me by the end of the window and I don’t answer a responding text or call within 15 min it’s time to call the choppers.
So here is what I’ve learned from years of road and mountain biking: If Im going to crash i would MUCH rather crash mountain biking. Generally speaking nature is far more forgiving of a surface than asphalt. Trees in particular are excellent cushions in comparison.

I was there was 2.7 million F1 drivers. More like 2.7 million Uber drivers with Prius who can’t be bothered to pay attention or keep up with the flow of traffic.
Everyone whose been on the 101 to 405 interchange during rush hour learns to hate these types of people. Stop a whole lane and force their way into the merging lane.
