I think you lose too much of the car’s personality with an EV conversion. Most importantly, a max range of about 150 miles is nearly nothing. My guess is that if you enjoy hucking your Miata through twisties your battery will drain much faster leaving you limping home to save battery.

Simply put: The market for EV’s appears to be nearly saturated. Folks who want one already have one. The used EV market prices indicate there is weak demand.
