Yeah, I don’t see how that’s a pet peeve for other people.  Who cares what another driver is doing unless they fall asleep or something?

my favorite is when it’s frozen with trash floating in the slush

Well, at least he was there for legit reasons. I’ll bet $1m that at least one person, especially like someone in an EV rental, has stopped for gas when it said it was running out of charge.

A coworker once was accused of driving off without paying until he produced his paper receipt, so there are reasons to want one.

Yeah, I agree with this as it is disrespectful.  They counted it out for them but just dump it into your hand.  What they are trying to do is get you out of the line so they can move to the next customer.  The problem is that they’ve inconvenienced you excessively in the process--often coins spill, and they are like

I agree with you except for the EV chargers.  I see no reason that gas stations shouldn’t have them, but they should of course have the space.

Cash is king, baby! Ever try to reverse a transaction after you used a card? Took me 15 minutes and 2 managers to correct *their own mistake* (they forgot to apply a BOGO coupon). I live in a place where the power goes out a few times a summer, so having cash matters. You know those stupid Square tip screens that show

I’m sorry I missed this one. I have a lot of pet peeves. A few mentioned already. But a few more. Also disagree with a few of them. e.g. I don’t care of someone gets back in the car while pumping. Why should you? As long as they don’t fall asleep or something. Also, I’ve been that guy blocking a diesel pump, but in my

This is what Trump has wrought upon the world. Everyone complaining about the nanny state is alive and healthier because of it.

You’d be dead without the nanny state.

Funny, go back to the 80s and 70s and 60s and you can find people saying “f’ those safety regs. F’ those pollution controls”!!!!
12,000+ people a year are dying.  I think we can tolerate some solutions to the problem.   Maybe GPS is not the solution or maybe it can be made better.  But we can tolerate some solutions

12,000+ people dead a year due to speeding is not exactly what I would consider to be a small problem.

Note that in the 19th century the US was in a virtual panic over... over what? The revolver...the six shooter. And virtually every town in America had strict ordinances passed by popular demand restricting their use.

Easy... just being a bit snarky.

I hope a whole cadre of lawyers is working with the family at this point because it would seem that there’s like 4 or 5 things that could each result in significant damage payouts.

You’d be surprised how effective this kind of stuff is, actually.

Found the excessive speeder.

They actually obfuscate the schedule of delivery as it is considered a security concern. So, sorry, that would be no.

Those should be banned or a class action forced to fix them. I can’t believe such things were ever engineered in my lifetime. I know there are other examples, but these seem to be the canonical example of a vehicle destined to fail and bury you in costs if you attempt to do anything about it.

My few points about old cars:

Send me to prison, guilty as charged.   It’s no Type-R of course, but it has its merits, certainly for its price band, although there’s not too many 2.0T manuals to be had.
