currently my two most commonly played games are Skyrim and Magic Duels 2012 (which I usually play offline). So this doesn't bother me, unless i get an insatiable urge to kill people in BF3. lol.

Put it this way... this information has been declassified. therefore they either found this technology useless, and completely harmless... or they have made it VASTLY more powerful and advanced since the filming of this short video. "sustained rate of fire" is different than overall ROF. sustained means it can shoot that nearly indefinitely without overheating or breaking. also, it'll probably be in bursts, with a small buffer between them to allow for cooling/reloading/whatever.
