This is one weird book, and (I would have thought) very unfilmable. I read it for my local sci-fi book club last year, and we had very mixed opinions about it. It will be very interesting to see how they handle the aliens.

This is a dark age! Are you kidding! I might not like everything that comes out, but there certainly isn’t a dearth of it.
It will be really interesting to see what the sales for this are, considering that most of its events will have been covered in an alternate form by the time of its release.
++++++ to all of you!
Hey, Legend’s first season isn’t that much worse than Flash’s was.
Especially like the Flash. Most of the first season was all over the place, and pretty poor actually (fun, but poor).
Again, you’re making yourself look like an idiot pretending that the main reason people like it is the nostalgia. It certainly added to the cool factor for a lot of people, but it is ancillary to the main awesomeness of the characters and the plotting.
Your guess is incorrect. You don’t have to like it, but don’t make stupid assertions about why other people love it.
Helena all the way!
The pose scene really didn’t make much sense without the dance scene, and yea, I really couldn’t imagine the character we saw briefly before he killed himself being inclined to lead a dance number.
Frump. (Short for F*** Trump. It just saves time, considering there are so many things about Trump and his campaign that evoke that response)
She is amazing. People need to watch Intruders (a woefully underrated 2014 BBC America show). She is basically playing a 60 year old male sociopathic killer in that, and she pulls it off! Every time I saw her on screen in Stranger Things in the first few episodes, I thought of her role in that, and got a chill down my…
The rule (for major hollywood movies) has been three times the production budget for quite awhile now.
Yea, and that site is not alone. Early reviews on Rotten Tomatoes are overwhelmingly positive (Only 7 Top Critics in (although that is a lot for a movie a week out from its release date, and encouraging that they felt confident enough in it to let reviewers see it that early) but all 7 are positive so far.
Keri Russell is absolutely awesome, and as an overall show, The Americans is (very) arguably better overall, but I don’t see how you can say that Russell is definitively much better than Maslany. They are very different performances, and Maslany’s range across all her different characters is insane. It’s hard to even…
You do realize that the vast majority of movies have (unconscious and unwritten possibly, but no less valid) prerequisites that the writer, director, and main stars be men. (or most of the above are men). For a movie to have mostly female roles will mean for the foreseeable future that the casting director is…
Its funny you say that, because 6 out of 8 female Top Critics on Rotten Tomatoes have positive reviews for Ghostbusters right now, while 8 out of 21 male Top Critics have positive reviews. Many of the positive reviews, men and women, are fairly lukewarm, but still, the gender trend is kind of interesting.
io9xit?! ninexit? ioxit?
Before that we were Spartacus. Its hard to keep up.
If its wrong, I don’t want to know what’s right.
