I think therapy will help work through a lot of this.

I’m the same way. OTC Unisom sleep tabs (not sleep gels) + 2 glasses of wine + earplugs and sleep mask and I can usually go out for 3-5 hours. Only do this on flights longer than 8 hours bc that’s how long it takes the Unisom to wear off.

He’s a Republican. He wants Trump to appoint his replacement. The end.

I suspect you’re a human pretzel and you just don’t realize it :). It is definitely trouble. I can touch hands behind my back but I can’t carefully spread lotion across the entire width and length and make sure I don’t miss a spot.

You wear a full-coverage shirt at the beach? And anyway 90% of summer clothing doesn’t cover the entire back.

How in the heck do you get sunscreen on the middle 2/3 of your back if you don’t use spray sunscreen? And don’t tell me to ask someone else to apply it; I live alone. Spray sunscreen is the only thing standing between me and skin cancer all over my back.

I was at the TIP Report launch and have a copy of the new TIP report and I cannot figure out what this story is about. For one thing, the TIP report is about 500 pages long, not 68. It has a page and a half about child institutionalization, but it does not mention the US at all. So maybe the LA Times is confusing the

Threshold Organic Cotton Sheets from Target. They’re so soft and nice, and not crazy expensive (around $40 for a full-size bed).

National orgs like Kids In Need of Defense or ABA PROBAR or, if there is a local immigration legal aid provider near you, donate to them. Immigrants get sent all over the country and the bulk of donations are going to organizations on the border. Of course organizations on the border are the most impacted, but

And it was made illegal after that to hire family members. But apparently there’s a loophole if they work in the West Wing and maybe also if you don’t pay them, which is how we got Ivanka and Jared, lucky us.

You really think out queer cops who march in Pride parades are going to hassle you in the bathroom? OK. Fortunately Pride organizers realize that Pride is for all queer people, not just the ones whose professions you like.

I don’t know about your city, but in my city a bunch of professional groups march - typically ones in public-serving positions, such as the police, fire department, teachers, clergy, city government, etc. It makes sense that public-serving professionals want to show their support for the LGBTQ community, which makes

Counterpoint: Seeing a bunch of LGBTQ cops march in the Pride parade reminds me of how far we’ve come in 50 years. It’s their Pride, too.

Not even queer cops?

I find them super hard to balance in because the heel is off center, but they don’t cause the foot/back pain that higher heels do. Supposedly a 1 - 1.5 inch heel is actually best for your feet and back.

You can do it!

You (and many people) are confusing two distinct issues. The 1475 missing kids arrived in the US as unaccompanied minors in 2014-15 and were released to sponsors by the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Refugee Resettlement. In late 2017, HHS discovered that these 1475 children are no longer with

You’re probably right for some of the minors, but there have already been convictions (not just accusations or charges) of traffickers who acted as sponsors. And it’s been established that labor traffickers in Central America took advantage of the fact that unaccompanied minors in 2014-15 were being released to

Oh my god, that is awful. I misread, I think because I couldn’t even process that level of self-absorption. Even Trump didn’t name his second kid after himself.

LOL my mom had a horse like that too. Almost killed me once, and once he bit me so badly I had a bruise all the way around my arm.
