The ‘Autopilot Buddy’ For Your Tesla Is Insidiously Dangerous And Stupid

Yeah, that is REALLY slow. F1 Boston has indoor tracks and they go 45 mph, including a downhill corkscrew that goes under the top layer. There’s a track for children at a mini golf course closer to me and they go about 15 mph. It was fun to drive when I was 8 years old, but it’s pretty boring these days.

And that is a MAJOR caveat. Id have to think that maximum is on the downhill section so it might be a snail crawl up the spiral.

“First of all, Tesla doesn’t actually advertise.” Non sequitur, but that is my favorite aspect of Tesla. It doesn’t reduce the fact that they have marketers, however, that absolutely come up with terms like “autopilot”.

Are you joking? Only one company has ever advertised (through twitter and other avenues) their ACC/LKA system as “autonomous”. GM’s SuperCruise has multiple checks to ensure the driver is forward facing and has eyes on the road. I assume you’ve never actually seen these systems advertised.
