“hold my slice”

Louisville says,What are we, chopped liver?”

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a school with so many people that are terrible at understanding the concept of negative PR and looking like dumbasses.

“Nobody seems to be talking about us anymore. They’ve only been talking about Ohio State for the past week. We need to do something to get back in the news.”

This is easily the 16th or 17th most disappointing thing I’ve read about Michigan State this summer.

I was living in a small town in Texas at the time, and I thought maybe this was how things were done. I see now that this is not so. I hope the procedure has changed by now.

This was only the second time I have ever shared that story, and I actually went back afterward and tried to delete it. I realized, for the first time, that I wasn’t overreacting and that this is exactly how abuse like this happens.

We were required to have a physical before entering Jr. High. When the doctor heard that I had had an orthopedic surgery on my feet, he made me lie on a table and remove my underwear. He then forced my legs open and ran his hands over my inner thighs to “look for additional scars”. He only stopped when I began to cry.

I keep telling people--you don’t get rich by being smarter than everyone else. You get rich by caring more about money than anything else.

nothing like mansplaining to a WOC that the podcast she talks about is “racist and misogynistic, acksually” in an effort to look woke.

Alt-Right: “We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children.”

Matt Christman is right about everything except pop culture. I don’t know how this happened

This is a lovely profile of an alt-centrist bro, who sounds strikingly like Joe Lieberman before he started going overboard. Obnoxious and “balanced” about their opinions, and not afraid to show it, but also not on the wrong side of 40 and into cool things like brunches and Harry Potter and House of Cards. Looking

The Chapo hosts tend to be ironic more often than not. Knowing Matt’s style, he almost certainly said that with a smirk. Like, he genuinely doesn’t like games, but he probably said “uncultured swine” because ot was the funniest way to express the sentiment, rather than him actually unironically saying that.

Oh my friend, you could not be more wrong. There’s literally an episode where Matt spends about 20 minutes ripping into R&M and the people who love Rick.

This is probably my favorite Kotaku article ever.

It’s the lack of interest in catching up that is the biggest problem. Or rather the refusal of Serious & Important People to recognized that this cohort of self-induced disaffection doesn’t want a helping hand or a pathway to change. So we continue to mollycoddle with countless NYT stories about the “economically

Yeah, I think it’s very fair to say that our society has done a very good job with encouraging our society to approve of concepts like “right” and “liberty” and “republicanism”, but it has done a very, very poor job educating our citizenry about what a right, and what liberty, and what a republic are, exactly.

His former staffer is a guy who has been exposed as a someone who repeatedly sexually harrassed and assaulted young Republican men, evidently on the grounds that he figured none of his victims would want to take the risk that he would damage their careers.

I recently stumbled across this piece detailing how Hunter S. Thompson’s Hell’s Angels predicts the rise of Trumpism (or something very much like it, anyway), by foreseeing the rise of a “retaliatory ethic” by the growing numbers of disaffected people who think that technology, industry, culture, and society as a
