Trump defiantly has authoritarian tendencies. His plan to change libel laws to make it easier to sue journalists would be a major attack on the first amendment. And it would be a very effective way for him to science dissenting media if he were elected.

I agree. A lot more money and effort should go into making sure voting is accessible and an easy process for everyone.
Election day should definitely be some sort of federal holiday. And I like the automatic registration idea. But online voting is a terrible idea. It’s vulnerable to glitches and hacking. There would be no definitive traceability. Most importantly it would cause way too much damage to the public’s faith in the results.
