I guess I just don’t understand why this is different than any other service industry.

Maybe we’re using the word hustle differently?

Ok, so how would that work? Would clubs screen at the door and refuse to let attached men in? How would they prove that they’re single or not?

Chit chatting and upselling guys into lap dances *is* the job, it’s not really a hustle. When I was a waitress and I talked customers into getting dessert, was I hustling?

while men are still being justified in their pursuit of sex at any cost to the sex worker and to their wife or girlfriend at home

So you’re just anti-sex work. Which you know is unpopular here, so you’ve decided to try to frame this as somehow “good woman at home vs. amoral strippers here to steal your man.”

If your partner doesn’t mind you visiting strip club then no, it’s not. But it depends on the couple in the relationship to define what they think cheating is.

Who said they’re victims? They are people working at a job, and they have the right to advocate for fair terms and treatment at their job, just like any other worker. How is showing up to work everyday being a hustler?

No, those weren’t rhetorical questions. In a literal sense, what do you expect a stripper to do, demand proof everyone is single at the door? How would that work?

Yes, the reasoned, measured rational response I wanted to get. Thanks fascist!

I firmly disagree.

I mean...why should they care? What does that have to do with them? They offer a service, and people walk into a club looking to buy that service. What should they do instead, screen men at the door and insist they somehow prove that they’re single? If a man in an exclusive relationship decides to see a stripper

By all means, definitely google it, child development is a really interesting field. But there’s a reason why we don’t let 9 year olds drive cars, or vote, or sign legally binding contracts.

I don’t believe (nor does science) that a 9 year old is capable of fully understanding the ramifications of their actions, or fully controlling his impulses, which is why it is the responsibility of adults to protect them from engaging in dangerous behavior.

Especially because like, that’s the whole point of having lots of kids? Most of the big families I know expect the older kids to be doing a *lot* of chores, usually a lot more than small families expect their kids to do. If you’re physically capable of feeding a baby, washing a dish, or scrubbing floors then you’re

I dunno guys, I grew up watching a lot of The West Wing and clearly I should have been watching Veep instead.

Wait really? I thought that we won several recent elections in primarily Trump voting areas, doesn’t that suggest good things for November?

Did we not? I thought I saw polling saying most Americans are in support of Dreamers? And didn’t Democrats recently win a few difficult elections in Trump areas? I thought that would suggest that voters are in support of Dems.

I guess I’m just saying that politicians seem to focus only on running for office, and not so much on governing. Obviously this isn’t a particularly new or original thought, but I feel frustrated nonetheless. It’s difficult to watch the people you have hope in and voted for just sorta...give up on something that’s
