Maybe the dems should start acting based on their morals and stop acting based on what they think might be popular.

What the Dems don’t seem to get is that the shutdown *was* a terrible, disgusting, display of grandstanding if they’re not going to actually do anything with it!
SAME! Honestly this news actually makes me feel a bit relieved, I was worried the conspiracy was that they weren’t actually together at all. Instead it’s that they’re super together and plotting as a couple. Adorbs!
This is the first time I’ve ever heard of this “recline” discourse. If I wasn’t supposed to recline my seat, then why does it recline?? And those seats are rigidly upright, how are y’all sitting in them for hours without reclining?? Even when I fully recline my seat it’s usually just like barely an inch of difference,…
Yes! It’s just like GBBO! It makes me feel a renewed sense of hope in the world.
People who play Apples to Apples with the mindset that it’s about literal definitions are the worst people to exist. That’s like saying your favorite book is the dictionary.
That only makes me think of cheerleaders. I don’t think my cunt is peppy enough for that.
That’s almost as bad as pussy
I need people to stop using cunt as a name calling thing so I can reclaim it. I like cunt as a descriptor of my genitalia a lot more than I like the more popular “pussy”. I wish cunt didn’t have such negative connotations, I’ve kind of accepted defeat on the pussy front, but not happily.
My comment had nothing to do with Tamblyn’s tweets, I’m responding to the posts I’m seeing about how common it is for pedestrians to be hit by cars. Not sure if you meant to respond to me?
Yeah, I’m surprised at the number of “Whatever, happens all the time” type responses. Like yeah, but that doesn’t make it ok? Drivers must yield to pedestrians? Did we not all get the same driver’s ed?
I feel the *exact* same way. Each of my pets have been unique, and I feel like loving them involves respecting that. No animal could ever replace the one that passed last year, and that’s as it should be.
Thin Mint dub that’s better than the original (YES I SAID IT, DON’T @ ME):
We moved to Indiana recently and I have had many an adult temper tantrum* in the grocery store because of this rule. For a while Sunday was literally the only time we had to buy supplies, and it made me full on enraged that as an adult woman living in America I could be denied access to booze because of someone else’s…
100% agree with that. All parents need healthy boundaries with their kids. Hell, all people need healthy boundaries with all other people, but especially with kids.
Yeah no, I’m saying that making bullets expensive is like getting rid of driver’s licenses and highway patrols, and then just making gas $50/gal. While there might be less traffic out there, it’s not really a reasonable or useful system.
I fully agree, and that’s always the case: the wealthy will find it easier to get/do basically anything they want. My only point is that merely making guns/ammo expensive is leaning into that concept pretty heavily, and I think there are better ways. I agree with Chris Rock that making bullets difficult to obtain…
Well if we can’t make it perfect, why bother trying at all, amirite?
Right...so we agree that just making bullets expensive, thus using wealth as the metric for which we decide who gets to be armed, will not fix our society, nor will it make us safer.
Some of them do. Not all of them.
