After going from "I'm obsessed!" for People to "I'm not obsessed!!" for GMA in about five seconds flat, I'm surprised People is even taking her calls anymore.

@femme-bot: Ugh, just so a bunch of celebrities can get their novelty photos taken with those orange apes who have no clue that the entire world is laughing at them.

@AfroJezeBella: That part disgusts me most of all. As a former fundamentalist, my always-been-atheist boyfriend asked me how Christians can live with themselves, going into foreign countries and offering nothing but Bibles when the people so clearly need stable food and water sources, vaccinations, medical attention,

@nowayman: That's exactly my point, there's nothing wrong with anything liking pink; its the assumption that "is it in pink?" is as far as my interest goes, is.

@AgainWithFeeling: I know. What an awful, awful feeling to know that your parents looked at you, looked at your weight, and thought "Hm, my child is flawed." Then told the whole world. Just thinking about it makes my heart break for Malia.

@CynicalPink: After all that rage unleashing, you comment made me smile mightily, thank you!

@wtfox?!: Ah, I heard that. It was hilarious. Almost as hilarious as the fact that lil Megan just sung her heart out to that song like she was singing for her fifteen minutes of fame.

So glad to hear he's so concerned with forcing men into a position of being objectified to the point they feel unsafe. Where's the outrage and concern over the WOMEN who are placed in this situation, and really ARE habitually sexually harassed and raped? 'Cause I can tell you now, while the stigma of male-on-male

All these efforts by fundamentalists to seem "hip" just remind me of the time my Dad tried to prove he was "down" by playing a Creed CD at my 17th b-day party. Desperately out of touch, embarrassing, or both? Take your pick.

@AgainWithFeeling: You said it so beautifully. How could they throw her to the wolves like that? They've basically reinforced the idea that a woman's body, no matter what age, is public property and that we owe the public our appearance.

"Don't blame those poor poor rapists! Its the women who raped THEM! Morally! They couldn't help themselves!"

@nowayman: For us girls, it feels like a "damned if you do" situation. I personally love pink. I'm also a feminist that writes about games.

@Bgrngod: And that they were in the Phillippines at the time, where abortion is illegal. A better commercial would have been "My mother chose to not break the law." They talk about "choice" and yet, she had no real choice at the time.

@kgetz: Well, I don't know about you, but denying a woman her right to choose is borderline misogynistic, and airing an ad that basically says "Hey, play the conception lottery! Maybe YOU'LL be the next to birth a Heisman Trophy winner!" sends the direct message that the value of a woman's life is nothing in

@lcd_: Masterful use of a Simpsons quote good sir!

Ah, this makes me sad. I was hoping they'd air the "GO TO HELL" spot right after that obnoxious pro-life commercial that CBS refuses to pull. It would be so appropriate.

Ha. Nintendo actually HAS copyrighted "Zii".

@Bunsen Honeydew: I agree that putting more effort into promoting sexual health is more important than lording a second virginity over other people!

People who abstain don't deserve criticism, but those who equate sexual purity or abstinence with a person's value, do.
