I got yer ‘nastily aspirated’ right here, boy-o...

I know it’s not a performance car, but I got my F-150 with the 5.0. while it doesn’t have the low down torque that the Eco-Boosts have (it still has plenty), it’s just a good engine. Not to mention the sounds that it makes once it gets revved up. It’s still plenty capable (385 hp, 387 lb/ft) so it’s not like I’m

“Back when I was a cool car teen, devouring every car magazine I could find, engines with turbochargers (and yes, superchargers) seemed so rare and unusual.”

Dad used a Miura SV to pick up nightcrawlers at the bait shop.

When he decided to sell the car, he should have Cena lawsuit coming.

I guess, despite Cena’s best efforts, Ford will in fact see him. In court.

Not sure where you are from but I started driving and going to local car shows and cruises in 94'. Went to almost every NYAS from a little kid to today and no one thought automotive engineering peaked in the 70's. People may have waxed poetic about the glory days, but the average auto enthusiast from the early 90's

Both parties are bad. The GOP, of course, takes that to the next level. But both parties are just plain bad. The Democratic Party should’ve learned by now that hiding its many shortcomings behind the GOP clown car does not translate into an effective campaign strategy. I mean, they did lose the elections to the Gaping

I disagree. I started driving in the mid 90's. The common thinking at the time was that cars had stopped being good after the emissions control regulations of the early 70's. Unless you were talking about super-exotics that we didn’t get in the U.S. like the Porsche 959 or the McLaren F1, the thinking was that

The other McLaren there yesterday didn’t have tire warmers and was having traction issues. He had drag radials but couldn’t do a burnout. His best runs were in the 10.40 range.

It’s not like the 720S is just a drag only machine either...I think the comparison is valid.

“. . .we validate the tires though analytical analysis. . .”

Meh. This is a road car, not a race car. The number of people who are going to buy one and run it flat out for 30 minutes at any point during its life is, if not zero, close to it.

“You’re positioned like a race car,” Musk said.

Because the grip of the tires on the road are the limiting factor in an emergency stop. There’s pretty much nothing on the road that can’t lock up the wheels if you mash the brake pedal at highway speed.

Because that’s how electric motors work, there’s no need for a transmission so they aren’t sacrificing long range for acceleration.

It is 20s with a load.

It may help to alleviate brake fade on steep grades but I doubt it’s going to improve your stopping distance under normal conditions.
