Honest question: is there really any true innovation in GT racing?
You don’t see the LaFerrari as the successor to the Enzo? I do. I also see the 918 as the successor to the Carrera GT, and the P1 the successor to the F1. Now, I’m seeing things from more of a market perspective and how these products fit into the market.
Well, for one thing, I’m sure the product planners and marketers at Lambo have known all about the 918/P1/LF since they were first under development. They’ve known for years. So they very clearly made the decision not to bother years ago. This is the same as when the Enzo came out. The Murcielago was never a true Enzo…
Ohhhhhh, so more like Jason Statham. Got it.
So... like... Ali G then?
Sorry I was a bit unclear, but when I said “produce a net gain in profitability” I didn’t mean the car had to make money itself, but rather that it had to make the rest of the company’s offerings more desirable — the halo effect. Everyone knows each Veyron sold at a loss. I don’t think VAG has anything to gain by…
Is no one interested in the visible distortion of the video accompanying the strike?
Britain?! No, no, no. This happened in Russia. You see the tracksuit?
No. They are not AT ALL the same people who gave birth to the Veyron. Just because they’re owned by the company that did does not mean they have unlimited access to all of its resources. If they wanted to produce a massive project like this they’d have to ask for assistance from above. Then the executives would have…
That’s not how it works.
I’d bet on that too. They’re definitely already spoken for!
You’re truly just a dumb statement
Being owned by a company doesn’t mean you have unlimited access to all of their resources. Actually, I bet being owned by the company that produced the 918 is part of the reason they won’t bother producing another such halo car. It’s like they’ve segmented the market for hypercars by nationality; there’s apparently…
Right. A lot of money would have to trickle down that ownership chain for Lamborghini to afford the development of a 918 competitor.
Of course they’re only making 20. Scarcity is the only way they can justify the price they need to charge. I doubt Lambo could produce anything as technologically sophisticated as a 918, P1, or LaFerrari, so they have to make it rare instead.
It might be better if skinny Mario didn’t also have scoliosis. He needs some physical therapy so he stops running like Napoleon Dynamite.
What, no shut up and drive jokes?
Fellow stroller users of NYC, you are in luck. This oughta help ween your kid off the stroller... because it’ll be gone haha — this new store called UnaUna lets you lease brand new strollers instead of having to buy them. Since you’re paying for the amount of time you have it, it behooves you not to hang onto the…
