Alright, I agree with all of that. Hennessey would be a perfect example of a company that take conventional tech and packages it in an extreme and expensive way. Koenigsegg is better than that, for sure. Their will to tinker is quite admirable.

The camless engine has not been applied to any production cars, only test mules. And while it is a great idea, it is far from a new one. Mechanics in the 1800s knew it would be nice if they could do things without a camshaft. Giant auto companies like VW and GM know it too. Why do you think they haven’t done it?
