My pants don't come in contact with the same amount of stuff (Because I refuse to say musky juices) that underwear does. It doesn't ride up, it doesn't wedge up. You vagina actually does a good job of keeping itself contained, what with the labia majora and all. If they get gross, I wash them.

That's probably a matter of anatomy. I can't speak for anyone else, but everything I have is kind of tucked up and away, so going commando with pants (no VPL ever!) isn't at all uncomfortable.

I never have any issues with the crotch seem mangling my labia, you should check into your pants choices. As well, it is pretty damn easy to keep your skirt from flying over your head, even without underwear on.
