I think St. Barths is more intense than Saba.

@The_Vitto: I have a Sony. I feel your pain.

I've heard speculation that the logo is designed to make older, obsolete browsers more obviously inferior to their users. I have no idea of thats true or not, but it makes sense.

@Ian Logsdon: Well, we can only hope. I think the biggest potential for new apps is when a new hardware feature is announced to take advantage of.

@Ian Logsdon: I'm pushing ~200 apps as well. And I don't have any specific ideas for new apps. But thats kind of my point. Perhaps we've reached the ceiling of innovation for mobile apps, at least with this hardware.

I'd really kill for Swype on my iPhone. Does anyone know if you can replace the stock iPhone keyboard if you jailbreak?

"machinge gun"

How'd they manage to get the iPhone 4 to run iOS 3.1? Take a close look at it...

Another week, another incredibly mediocre crop of iOS apps. Do you guys think that iOS has reached a saturation point with the App Store? I honestly haven't seen a new good app in months. Maybe ~250k apps is the upper limit for mobile app stores, including the android market, and after that point, all innovation has

@blyan: Any time. Happy to help.

@blyan: No. The ice displaces an identical amount of water as it would fill if it melted. A good way to test this is to fill a glass with ice and water all the way to the brim, and let it melt. The ice that is currently floating is not the primary concern. When ice that was on land melts, it adds water into the ocean

Hom many people can this hold?

I think that the top picture was taken on a private jet. I wonder, what possible reason would you have to use this odd ... clothing? ... on a private plane, perhaps the most comfortable way to travel?

@dragon:ONE: Actually, I think a higher resolution would be better for your eyes. That way, you don't have to squint to see details.

I don't know about Florida, but here in Cali, bongs aren't considered drug paraphernalia. Granted, when you buy one in a smoke shop, you have to call it a water pipe or they kick you out. And you have to show your ID. But still.

Number 19 is BS. I was born in '92, and I distinctly remember playing with the coiled phone cord when I was younger. Granted, I haven't seen a cord like that for at least 5 years, but still.

I'm confused. Is it supposed to be a smartphone? Because if that thing is supposed to compete with smartphones, it's royally screwed. They're trying to make a non-qwerty keyboard sound like the best thing since sliced bread.

@HerbieC: I don't think you could fit a 6" iPad in your pocket. Also, the screen size is just right for reading, browsing, and games. Its not intended to be pocketable - thats what the iPhone and iPod touch are for.

Does anyone else think that this would make an incredible setting for a dystopian/post-apocalyptic novel or movie?

@cobaltage: Considering the petroleum usage that goes into the iPad's production and delivery, I'm not sure if even that staggering amount of paper is enough to offset the environmental issues. That said, I'm not well versed in this subject, and I wouldn't be surprised to hear that I'm totally off base.
