Just a question:  Have any of you out there noticed how the MadMenMakers have been subtly altering Pete's hairline (ever since the question was asked —at Don's party?— "Is Pete going bald?")…?  —Because being baby-faced and slap-headed may be the final straw that makes this creep pick up his rifle and go postal.

Sorry, I'm unable to reply to you in the proper place.  I, too, think Olivier was beautiful —in youth.  But he was also concave-chested, frail wristed, pasty-skinned, and spindle-legged —and would never be a leading man today, unless he bulked-up by 30 lbs.  And by the 1960's, when he was still a leading man, he was

I was talking more about STAGE actors and actresses throughout history.  Here are a few of the leading limelighters of the 1960s (COVER stars of Play & Player):

No, you don't know what you're talking about —except in the most superficial way.  (Guys and girls don't have to sleep their way to success in New York?  Ha.)  I've conducted 500 casting calls personally…and never ONCE was the FIRST THING ANYONE IN THE ROOM insisted on:  "Turn around and let me get a good look at you."

Well, EVERYONE except for Pete and Lane has probably already slept with her…and that's just made them respect her MORE.

Looking "good" ISN'T the requirement for an actress or actor:  Being a great ACTOR and looking "right for the part" IS, and that's usually something that can't even be SEEN until the performer is performing.  I think the director made it clear that the three guys on the "casting couch" weren't considering her FIRST

"(I also thought that her playing around with the idea of immorality when he seemed to be asking her for help was a nice indication that she’s still really fucking good at this, since the idea Ginsberg eventually landed on was fairly similar.)"

Since you got the 8th member of your audience…—CONGRATULATIONS!  (And now I'd be happy to put you over the top.  Actually, I found MacGruber…fairly funny.  As funny as all the talented people involved should have made it?  $12 theater funny?  Not…quite.)

God, I hate not being to REPLY in the right place (to your underpost).  Just wanted to say…cool; I'll have to watch it again (—calculated last night, and it's actually been 17 years since I watched it).  Thanks.

Oh…I agree; but not entirely:  That's why I said "preachy." (I would argue that "1900" is better called "pointed," as I don't recall too many of the major themes being hammered-home using windy monologues —but as I haven't seen it in 15 years, I could be wrong.)  Otherwise, Kramer's message would have been somehow
