As much as I love Breaking Bad (and really enjoyed this episode) there were still a few things that struck me as troublesome.  First, I thought Anna Gunn's performance in the opening scenes was weirdly "off" —almost all googly-eyed one-dimensionality…until the final moments when she watches Walt with their crying

Has anyone else noticed that Ron Swanson with a full beard looks like the brother of Zack Galifianikis, and without a mustache he's the brother of Thomas Lennon?

Alas, this film-erm-THING THAT EXISTS is so utterly doomed to hated failure…that we won't even be able to enjoy a porno parody/homage (—which would certainly be funnier).

I still love the movie, and that scene in particular; I was only remarking to note that sometimes the literalists who make such serious efforts to explain away all the "magic" of cinema…do just that.  It's hard to watch a woman being sawed in half on stage and not have knowledge of the "secret" interfere with one's

Yeah, Mythbusters put the whole "make a cowboy hat leap-away and dance with bullets" routine on the garbage heap (—you're right, Mike, hot lead just passes straight through hat-cloth like piss through a penis)…and, frankly, I'm kinda sad that the truth now knocks on my cranium every time I try to enjoy that scene.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this as yet:  So I'll bother.  In the opening black-and-white cartoon, the obvious homage was to the work of the Fleisher brothers (of Popeye fame).  And one of the most incredible bows that Futurama's creators made to THEIR artistic innovations was the segment showing Fry striding

—Crawling on the lab's balcony railing?  Yep.  That entire segment was illustrated in the manner of Max Fleisher's Popeye cartoons…and Nibbler looked to be the swaddling-tailed homage to troublesome Swee'pea.

Well, at least he finally made The Golfather.

Done in by dumbness.  I meant "done" —not "don't."  Oops.

Didn't you notice that the guy who posted these "Soderbergh paintings" admitted they were fakes —at the bottom of the post?  Those paintings were don't by kids.

I hope you weren't fooled by the (actual) "children's paintings" that have been posted on the Web (in various hacked and fake stories); those aren't done by Soderbergh.  I've been trying to find actual images of his work, but can't find any.  However, both a Times piece and an ArtInfo article refer to his work as

KISS KISS, PUNCH PUNCH
