Hooked from the very beginning. The prologue was spectacular and honestly a shock. You just don’t expect that death

I was getting really annoyed and frustrated by this series. So last night I watched Secrets of the Chippendales Murders.

Pretty good list AV Club. A couple of headscratchers but otherwise solid.

The German production THE EMPRESS on Netflix showcased Devrim Lingnau as the lead and I really can’t point to another performance this year to equal save for Emma d’ Arcy on DRAGONS.

You forget, Albie already advocated for his Dad well before the transaction was even agreed to. Mike White had that covered in his storyline and was made crystal clear at the breakfast table scene.

Her dialogue with Ethan about “you don’t have to know everything about your partner, there is intrigue in the mystery” was a truthbomb delivered beautifully in her tone and especially the registrations on her face both familiar and a bit heartbreaking.

Title is just a tad overripe.

Terrific episode of SNL. But on a live blogging site, the cold opening voicing was out of synch. in a great number of areas and streaming options. You had to almost turn away from the TV and listen as if it was radio.

A great series, enjoyed every minute most especially the painstaking re-creation of 30's Los Angeles and history plus every performer brought their A game.

A LOT of comments on that, keep scrolling

I still can’t quite get to the theory that Harper is playing mind games with Ethan and sewing jealousy as a means to “get back at him” or “get him back” emotionally and sexually. Basically Ethan’s appeal cratered when he couldn’t be honest with Harper from the very beginning regarding Cameron, Lucia and Mia. He had

Read the whole thread here, a lot of discussion regarding that very question.

After the airing I rewound and froze on the picture frame. Then I found myself staring at facial structure and jawline. So at first I was in doubt it was him, and Tanya’s non-reaction didn’t help...........then again my brain isn’t at its best after 16 lines of decent cocaine.

Wait are we not mentioning the photo? If that is Tanya’s Greg in the brown hat on the right and Quentin on the left, is this show gunning for the ultimate sting by getting to Tanya’s fortune to save a palazzo? A long con in play based on seduction and murder?

Really difficult time accepting Harper not confronting Ethan. I think we certainly have been given enough of her character that she would bring it up to him. I honestly think she knows he wouldn’t cheat.....and he didn’t......so her distant disposition , while well played, just didn’t ring true for me. Also with

I am not at all a gamer, or in anyway have experience of a work environment that software/social media companies provide for their employees and find this show a kick. But Mythic Quest excelled with the pandemic Zoom episode pulling off those Rube-Goldberg set pieces to connect as a whole. That will likely be the

The ROP episode with the creation of Mordor was outstanding. It was a spectacular accomplishment, a testament to the dollars spent.

I have to disagree. There was a directorial and writing decision to clearly lay out that Stempel was asked/forced to take the fall because he was Jewish. I have not seen enough interviews with Stemple to see how close Turturro got to his persona, but his performance of Stemple still imbued him with dignity and pathos

All I can say is I’m glad to be back on vacation with Mike White. The main cast is great, who doesn’t love Aubrey Plaza. But, again as in Hawaii, White has a fantastic casting director.  Simona Tabasco and Beatrice Grannó as the “locals” were fantastic, together; they proved instantly charismatic. Throw in the hotel

she pulls her stillborn child out of her own body in a gratuitously gruesome sequence that’s nonetheless masterfully acted by Emma D’Arcy.
