Why is it the ones that strip off their clothes are the ones that really probably shouldn’t?

There were a couple of stand out scenes for me tonight. The best was the killing of the racist/sexually assaulting cop. Ignoring the passing satisfaction in seeing a contemptible cop get his comeuppance. The kid Mateo, isn’t a born killer and the crude inexperienced hacking away and cutting at the policeman’s neck

It’s alright captain, we always knew you were a whoopsie.

Oh c’mon! Who here hasn’t pissed in their mouth?

Still very watchable, great production values, some nice individual moments, but a bit all over the place trying to check boxes of LA history. Focus!

Maybe it would help if people would stop yelling Unagi at them.

I can hardly wait to see a blonde Nic Cage make out with a toothless meth dealer boyfriend.

HBO, we need to get back to the park.

Gwen, a fine list! That said the intentionally campy and overripe Written on the Wind while fun (lets’ shoot again to the phallic oil derrick model on the desk, shall we?) still pales to All That Heaven Allows, which is Sirk at his peak (I also have a huge soft spot for Imitation of Life, christ that ending I dare

This season just fell flat. Most everyone here in the comments enjoyed the production, I mean there is nothing like HBO production dollars. But it swung for themes far better fleshed with the Matrix series or any number of cerebral dystopian films reaching back to the 70s

I think there is an intentional level of fast-paced and breezy accumulation of twists and circumstances with RUN. It’s a snowball hurling down a hill picking up dilemmas that I don’t think necessitate individual evaluation. It’s approaching a level of screw-ball comedy, not unlike the classics of the 30's or throwback

Oh shit!  I had the fish

It will be interesting if the directors and producers who have a history with Universal will step in and support the theatrical window. They want the big screen experience to survive and they know wounding exhibition could cause irreparable damage and Universal has been a frequent home to many greats.

Through a series of odd jobs, whack jobs, and blowjobs,.........

This should not be under the heading GREAT JOB INTERNET. Instead I propose a new and recurring feature on AV Club called:

Actually, everyone seems to be getting the not washing the wood salad bowl all wrong. To be truly highbrow, you didn’t just not wash the bowl, you paid someone else not to do it.

PROUDLY SERVING FROM LAB TO SLAB

I love this movie. I always shrug when people say: “What’s the deal? Julia Roberts playing Julia Roberts”

This movie got me to subscribe to Horse & Hound. Alas they gave up the print edition and went on-line only and then it was shuttered down by G/O Media only a year after it was acquired by the private equity firm.
