Ghostbusters 4:  Stranger Things

Decent enough finale. The reveal of the rats, first only by people screaming  then our crew rushing to the stage and the distant shot of rats coming down the stairs, for that brief moment, I had that “am I seeing what I think I am seeing?” Perfect.

The post credit sequence was such a perfect, unexpected spin of the absurd for an episode that was a beautiful romance deconstructed. More than just once it reminded me of The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind; brilliant in the sewing together of fragments and memory, in a compelling folding of time of a love, neve…

I watched THE IRISHMAN in one setting pausing briefly for an all natural, hand-stretched, stone-baked basil and tomato pizza imported from Italy; 450 degrees for 8 minutes baked directly on the center rack. It was delicious.

FIENDISHLY UNSETTLING

Overlooking the performances in that series almost renders this list as useless as tits on a boar hog.

Yikes. I understand the grief and loss the showrunners felt they needed to show, but to have the mother lite the pyre of her dead son was tough to watch. I guess in a way it was beautiful and beautifully wrenching and possibly tradition with the Gyptians.

Did anyone think Angela’s Grandpa’s memories where being downloaded to the elephant like it was a giant flash drive because elephants have great memory?

I only watch the show on YouTube clips, but I thought Hough and most especially Union were fine hosts. I did think Hough might run up against friction due to some of her free spirited interviews off set but Union seemed to be a perfect fit.
