On my motorcycle, I seem to always get stuck in traffic behind SUV/Minivans with the badge that reads SHAWD. I can’t but to read that as shoddy, I smile the light turns green and I am gone, only to have it repeated at the next light.

Isn’t this what is happening in India? Light cheap unsafe cars.

I wanted, almost needed to vote Nice Price, until I read this:

Regretted not buying ‘67 Mustang (I was 17 and just bought a POS 3 weeks before I was offered the stang)

Regretted buying:
1. ‘78 Subaru Brat crap electrical and rusted everywhere, but a blast to drive, and an instant way to make friends when someone was riding in the back.
2. Both Pintos, and the Bobcat wagon (We were

I love these, I just can’t justify the big dollars.
I have been looking with an eye to the future, and would rather go the Japanese route, a nice Mitsu would be the way I go. For a third the cost no less.

Watergate and the impeachment of Nixon. Which is odd since I was in Canada when all that went down.
I recall going to swimming lessons and my grandma listening to her transistor radio as Tricky Dick stepped down.

I think that some entrepreneur will come up with an easy EV conversion for these, remove the diesel mill and replace it with some batteries and an electric motor.
Like this but cheaper:

My first impression of this picture, was that of a modern Mazda wagon.

Voted NP as it is good shape and a rare cat.
However for the money in the same market (where I am) I would look at this:

It has a stick, in the USA isn’t that the best theft deterrent?

I was looking for a hatch that had spirit, and when I test drove a 1o year old MazdaSpeed3 I was sold.
I get decent enough mileage on the highway, and beat everyone to the next red light in the city.

What about something completely out there, like a Stirling engine electric Hybrid like the Deka Revolt?

Back in the late 90's there was a RX-3 covered in brown truck bed liner, with white “stitching”, know as the football, that would come out to our local autocross every Sunday. It was set up just right and had a fantastic driver, a great combination and his times were hard to beat. I never did it, but was a novice. In

If I had the time and resources I would drop a MazdaSpeed engine into that bay, and have some fun while looking good. If your moving away from stock appearance, might as well get some zoom as well.

I read 818 and Miata and thought there already was a Mazda 818.

If there were no check engine lights on before you took the saw to the Jetta, there will be no check engine lights on afterwards.
Not my ideal just a project I have been following:

Well if you want all that modern safety stuff, there is always this:

Sticking with VW a Type 2 Micro Bus

I had the GS550, besides the ignition module it was as reliable as gravity, I was just to old to live with that semi crouched seating position, but a great first bike. I did get it up to 170 Km/Hr, and I was more the limit than the bike, IMHO that is what a first bike should be.
I’m now looking for my 3rd /5th bike.

You had me at BRAT.
I had a ‘78 with royally messed up wiring, and it was still the most fun I have ever had from a car, and put me on my patch to being a quasi gear head.
