He had that misstep re: the Hong Kong protests a while back, but people mostly did go easy on him. He could so easily go the Jordan route and try not to offend anyone in order to maximize his “brand,” but he’s actively taken sides. I respect that.

Not even giving this a slight rise in my blood pressure. I’ve had enough family in the military throughout the generations for this to be pretty much the only thing I’m NOT worried about. The officer corps isn’t so easily Trumpified as most civilians think.
Some friends and I have just started playing the alpha (essentially) of Cyberpunk Red on Roll20 after playing D&D for a while; the switch in settings has been wonderful both for me as the GM and for them as players. I’m so happy this world is getting a renaissance.
I haven’t watched the show since it was on the air, but I can still recall that exact voice.
Speaking as someone who once worked at a shelter for kids who had been removed from their families due to abuse and neglect, I’d like to add my voice to all those here. He’s doing good work. And just by being someone he can rely on, so are you. Don’t forget that.
Looking back over all the books that show adapted, I was surprised to see how many I would eventually read. I particularly read “A Tale of Two Cities” because of the episode of Wishbone. My question is, what are they going to do for a movie-length feature? I vote for the entire five-book Musketeer series by Alexandre…
Remember when veterans were practically sacrosanct to conservatives? Didn’t take long for the racism to override that....
Of all the wrestlers involved in this, Sammy strikes me as the one most likely to change. So far at least, he’s made a terrible joke but hasn’t been reported to have actually harassed anyone. Also, his apology seemed legit, and Sasha herself spoke with him. I’m hoping he truly can learn and change from this.
Worked brilliantly for Archer. Definitely can be done.
Please tell me that was Ciena Ree in charge of the Star Destroyer....
If there’s one thing that gives me some hope, it’s that, even just a few years ago, stances like those of Gundy and Drew Brees would be the norm and they would be playing to the majority. Yet now both of their little maneuvers seem to have backfired against them. I am for this trend continuing.
From A Certain Point Of View was everything I wanted out of an anthology, for most of the reasons you described above. I’m super excited for this.
I’ve worked as a phone operator at the National Domestic Violence Hotline for over a year now; though I had suspected this sort of thing before, I never really had any experience with it until starting this job. It took me about four hours into my first shift to come to this conclusion.
Why you gotta use an image from him back at my alma mater, Purdue? (Thinks back to being a student there when the second Iraq War began and getting spit on for saying it wasn’t a good idea). Actually, never mind, carry on....
The prequel episode with Kes aging backwards was actually the very first episode of Voyager I ever watched. It made me excited to see how that story would eventually play out. When it finally did, I was like, “Wait... that’s it?”
This is why I don’t buy into conspiracy theories. This universe is not ruled by powerful entities, it’s ruled by cold, random chance. Dinosaurs were the dominant species on this planet for 65 million years (compared to maybe 200,000 years for humankind). And still, a unfathomably low-odds event happened, and then…
I will use this forum to once again plead for a weekly Jezebel column on women’s wrestling. It’s the best it’s ever been (in America) right now, and I enjoy it better than most of the men’s divisions. AEW’s women’s division still needs some work, but there’s a world of potential there. Plus Nyla Rose is awesome.
Jesus, the Patriots are are getting into self-owns even more than the Cowboys. Now THAT takes organizational skill.
We read that book my sophomore year in high school. As a game, our teacher carved out a day where we all roleplayed being crash-landed on an island. We all drew cards to tell us what our injuries were or what we had on us. I and two others were paralyzed but still alive, and the rest of the “survivors” literally cast…
I get calls at my job (National Domestic Violence Hotline) where I can see possible lethality in the callers’ situation. When I first started there I kind of tiptoed around it and brought up the subject gently, but these days I’m very direct and blunt about what could happen to them. Stories like this are why — if…
