Ok, but the difference is women are saying they don’t want to date men from certain backgrounds because of fear of entrenched sexism, patriarchy, and general being taken fro granted. Guys don’t date women of certain backgrounds because they don’t look the way they want. See the difference?

Why do you assume I’ve never approached guys? I’ve made many more offers than I’ve received, overall. Those guy friends were not secretly attracted to me - or at least I assume they wouldn’t straight-up turn me down if that were the case.
Here’s another difference: Men whose personalities are not conventionally attractive can change how they present themselves. Women whose looks are not conventionally attractive can’t, at least not to the same degree.
