I played it for 1000s of hours on the JP servers, but the game is basically a tool for socializing and there just weren’t enough English speakers so I quit.

Most of the things people do are non-essential for survival. Nobody really needs to do anything other than agriculture and medicine. We could have 1% of the workforce and still have everyone survive.

When you think about who to ask for advice on how to handle a pandemic Elon Musk is about as random as you and me. The Tesla guy? Very random.
Why does anyone care what some random person that isn’t an expert on a subject says on twitter?
There is no level of overkill to prevent cheating and even this won’t be enough. Having a gun to the back of every players head is about the only thing that can stop cheating.
Whoever can find exploits worthy of those rewards can make way more selling them to people to make cheat software.
It’s nice to know when all humans die the earth can start healing pretty quickly.

I get the impression people that enjoy this are not properly realizing what is going on. They are ignorant of the reality of the thing they are doing. The gamification of redundant tasks has tricked their mind.
If people kept going about their business instead of staying home like they would for the flu we would be seeing 10x the deaths.
Sounds like EA doesn’t understand regional pricing settings on Steam.
