Because I’m pretty sure he’s just a money guy, and while we could certainly call him clever in his investing the extent to which his great intelligence was brought to bear on any given problem of inventing sort of begins and ends with the money.

Oh please, Musk is an idiot. The whole myth about his “intelligence” is just people getting conned by his slick talk (which doesn’t hold up long) and the fact that he’s rich (but only because he lucked out and sold PayPal before he could seriously fuck it up.)

He has a drug problem, and he’s too rich to have to listen to anyone tell him to go to rehab.

Maybe hes a smart guy, or maybe he is a rich kid who never credited the work of others and passed it off as his and kept falling into better positions.
