Apparently this was added in a day 1 patch, which can be deleted if you bought the physical version. 

Literally all of those games have more active players and healthier competative scenes than Cross Tag. 

Oh EVO is absolutely an Advertisement for new games. They are very open about that. Fighting game trailers are usually dropped at EVO.

Im a bit sad, but Melee has thrived without the help of Nintendo or the rest of the FGC for so long and it continues to bring in new people that even though getting dropped from EVO is a decent sized blow, Melee will survive until CRTs become to few and difficult to manage.
